The gnolls surrounding Rurayne’s Crossing have been acting strangely. Always savage, always slathering with hate and viciousness, they were never a truly significant threat to civilization because they were so chaotic, so rabid they were as likely to ravage each other as they were the human populace. No longer.

Now, they’ve been acting with almost military precision, striking human and elven settlements, rending and destroying. They’ve invaded out of the Auld, that great, haunting, ancient wood, and have struck closer and closer to the peaceful trading and farm village known to locals as The Crossing.
